Our goal is to create a welcoming and entertaining environment for members and fellow fans. We are here to build community and support the Spirit–don’t be jerks!
As a member of the Spirit Squadron, I pledge to uphold all of the following rules:
- Violence and threats of violence will not be tolerated. This includes throwing objects onto the field or at players or fans.
- Discrimination and hate speech will not be tolerated.
- Treat the Spirit players and team staff with respect, and do not heckle the Spirit players during games. We stand by our team.
- Treat opposing team players, staff, and fans with respect. Banter is acceptable but personal abuse, maliciousness, and hate speech is not.
- Treat the capos and drummers with respect. While you are watching the game, they are volunteering their time (often with their backs to the field!) to improve your gameday experience.
- Do not lead, participate in, or encourage inappropriate chants or cheers.
- Follow all league and venue rules and policies, including at away games.
- You are responsible for your own actions, whether in person or on social media. We ask that you do not speak or post on behalf of the Squadron without authorization.
- Members can report Squadron code of conduct violations to a capo or Board member. If you feel unsafe during a game or if someone is violating venue rules, contact venue security and/or team staff.
Rule violations may result in probation or expulsion. Let’s keep the beautiful game beautiful.
We hope that you can commit to supporting the Squadron beyond adhering to the code of conduct. If you stand in 136 or 137, chant with us. Assist with game day tabling, set up, or break down. Take some time to welcome a new member or supporters section fan. Get engaged!
